I just bribed A into doing her piano practice by telling her she could help me clean toilets once she was done. I wonder how long I can keep that as part of a reward system...

W has a cup in each cup holder of her carseat. She grabs one with each and and says, "look, they're my controllers! I'm helping you drive the car!"

A pipes in derisively, "W, those are just cups. You're not controlling the car. (pause as she holds out her hand). It's ME controlling the car with my force powers."

My princess is 4 years old today! She brings me such joy and laughter every day!

W, wearing dinosaur jammies, "I'm a Tyrannosaurus T Rex! I'm a meat eater!"

I reply in mock fear, "Oh no! Are you going to eat me?!"

W, acting like I'm the dumbest mother alive, "I'm a MEAT-eater! I eat MEAT, not people!"

W is practicing her letters. I said, "oh, are you using your left hand?" She replied, "oh yes, because it's the easy hand." I think it's official that I've got a lefty here...

I'm trying to get lunch put together this morning. A is hovering around, and I get exasperated and say, "Please don't screw around my bad leg." Sincerely she replies as she moves over to my other side, "ok, I'll screw around your other leg."

Poor A. She is in tears right now because she outgrew her favorite swimsuit.

A just said, "ok Mama. About tornados. An EF0 is like no big deal. You don't even have to worry. Now, and EF5? Well, you better run."

I am not a happy mama right now. The girls left a play telescope on the stairs and I slipped and fell down half the staircase last night. I'm pretty sure both my ankles are sprained and my right knee got pretty wrenched.
