A had to have some bloodwork today - she wasn't so upset at the stick as she was about them taking her blood out of her body. She said she wanted to keep it inside to save for another day. She didn't care that I told her her body would make new blood, she just wanted to keep her old blood.

I got some foam beads with a blunted needle and string for A to play with. I showed her how to do it, she took the needle, looked up at me and said "Wow! Thanks, Mama! Can you leave me alone now?"
